GoodWood Park Hotel - Bridal Fair featuring Vera Wang

As someone who is quickly approaching the age to wed, Gareth & I signed up for the Bridal fair held at GoodWood Park hotel to see if we can get some good ideas and advice for our not-so-soon-yet-may-be-approaching marriage. So on 15 Jul 07 the both of us enthusiastically attended the event. I long heard of Vera Wang gowns for the rich & famous so I was really excited to see how beautiful the gowns were!

It was the usual bridal event with sponsors and participating brands to attract the couples. The turn-out was pretty good but there wasn't much to see and we had to stay or full 4 hours to get the door gift. Well, a door gift should be given before the event, not forcing people to stay throughout the obviously boring fair..

At the end of it, we agree that the best part of the whole event was the food and the lovely flowers in full bloom!! I simply love the roses (typical but they are my favourite in white or pale pink)

A Rose with Vera Wang fragrance for me!

Check out the really cool small treats for the guests that are sooooo pretty. I may consider having some of these at my wedding (if there is one that is.)

I was amazed that we could actually eat these things..at first all the couples were waiting for one another to try to eat that for fear of being ridiculed for eating a plastic ornament! Seriously they look too good to eat!

Strawberry Flavoured

Kiwi Flavoured

This one tasted like washing powder! YUCKS!

No one touched this pyramid for fear the whole thing will fall apart, so we just looked at how pretty it was..

This one is damn nice!

Chocolate and White Choco Wings, so special

Tuxedo strawberries representing the bride & groom

Berry Nice!

Some food we had from the buffet

There were ample time before the Vera Wang bridal catwalk so we walked around and stumbled upon the side pool for solemisation ceremony.

Finally after what seemed like hours of waiting, the Vera Wang bridal show starts! But we weren't allowed to take any pictures but you haven missed anything coz the gowns are outrageously pricey 23k for a really normal one and not so nice after all.Disappointed....=( After awhile we got bored so Gareth started to check out the models and commented some looked like aliens swaying around and one walked like camels and we had a good laugh!

At the end of it we were both exhausted and just waiting to get the door gift so we can get our $48 worth..after more waiting the door gift was distributed at last and we went off to bring meet Brenda & Dan and the two angels for shopping at Robinsons Sale..NO MORE BRIDAL SHOWS!!!
