Exploring Shanghai - Part 1

Since Alan had to travel to Shanghai on a business trip, we took the oppportunity to have a pre-honeymoon trip since food and accomodation was paid for!

Delifrance is my favorite breakfast place at the airport..

My artistic breakfast & yummy french toasts..perfect start to the trip

Gigantica Chupa Chup found at DFS! Holds 20 lollis in each capsule..

These will make many kids happy & dentists rich!

Come fly with me, come fly lets fly away...

6 hours of flight & an hour of horrible cab ride, we reached the Hotel located along the famous Nanjing Road..

View of the streets from the hotel room

We were famished and tired by the time we got to the hotel..I LOVE ROOM SERVICE!

A handy map to explore Shanghai and we are all set to go!

Outside the hotel

On the busy Nanjing Road Streets

The blue figure is apparently the Mascot for the International Trade Conference (cant rem exactly) and Shanghai is promoting a new image..

In the Hersheys store..

Another huge bar of chocolate..i figured kids nowadays have a huge appetite!

A Singapore landmark!

There were so many shopping centres that i lost count..but there was absolutely nothing to buy becos everything was so pricey and UGLY!!

After hours of walking, i didnt buy a single thing..damn tired..

Ye Shanghai is colorful!

The last trip to Shanghai, Alan noticed there was a long queue outside a stall selling kuehs..So we decided to give it a try, coz in SG, if there is a queue it must be good.

Green-looking-duno-what-kueh (tasted alittle like Ang Ku Kueh except its green & yucky)

Nevertheless, brave Alan gleefully sinks his teeth into it!

Ended up it tasted horrible and made Alan run to the loo during the night..Damn..guess the SG rule doesnt apply here! They queue up even when the food sucks!Ha!

Nevertheless it was great to hang out in the streets and the weather was cooling and nice!

We didnt know what to eat and ended up having Yoshinoya for dinner!

Thats our first day..check the next post for the photos from the rest of the trip!

End Note: Been there, done that!
