Weee!! We Got It!! Our own home!!

We took leave on 30 Oct 07 for the important appointment at HDB for the selection of the Jurong West Flat..We were dressed in our lucky colors, hoping we can get the unit we wanted!! Fingers crossed!


We decided to have lunch at Toa Payoh then we can walk over to HDB and hopefully arriving early we get to select first.




Mirror, Mirror on the wall, who is the fattest of them all?


We were done at 2.15pm, although our appointment was at 3.30pm, we decided to get the quenue number, perhaps they will see us since we were so early?

We patiently waited for our turn and pass time by playing Diner's Dash on Nintendo DS lite..Time crawled so slowly and Alan went to the self serve counters several to make sure there were avaialble units left..

Unfortunately the person before us chosed the 14th flr (the one that we wanted). We were pretty disappointed coz it was available until this point and we waited so long! But well, if it wasnt meant to be, its just too bad..we had to choose between 17th, 10th and 9th floor..After much deliberation, we decided to get the 10th flr..

After 2 hour of waiting and the news of 14th floor gone


At 4.20pm, the screen buzzed our quenue number E0379 and we happily rushed through the doors to the counters.Luckily, we manage to get the 10th floor and settled the paper work this round!!!! Our unit number is #10-673, now go buy 4D!!

Thanks all of you who prayed for us!!After being $2,000 poorer, our hearts were happy to finally have a place of our own..really look forward to build this home together..

From now on, I'll be super broke..3 mths later we should be able to get the key and 3 mths after we will need to show our marriage certiicate..given the timeline, i think we need to defer by writing in to the branch office..but now we need alot of planning!

Suddenly everything seems so rush and i can already imagine how broke we will be...we welcome "donations" from kind hearted souls, occasional dinners will do as well....Think we will be really busy planning, cracking our brains and walking miles for a good deal. So anyone who has any good ideas or advice, please please let us know ya..
